Head office fit-out

In 2014, the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) launched an ambitious project to reinvent itself in all aspects of its business: work environment, ecosystem, interaction between employees, configuration and look of its work environment. This project was a great challenge and involved several internal stakeholders joining forces to manage change, technological innovations and, of course, the transformation of the physical workplace.

The redevelopment of the head office had to be carried out while maintaining the flow of operations of the BDC. The six floors affected by the construction work were divided into three distinct phases of uninterrupted construction. The project’s specific sequence required the team to plan the phases of design, procurement and crew relocation while simultaneously maintaining continuous construction activities, from the first day of demolition until the very last day of cleaning.
